The Elms Medical Centre is a dispensing practice in Hoo St Werburgh, Kent. As well as our surgery in Hoo, we have three branches in High Halstow, Allhallows and the Isle of Grain. The Elms is a partnership practice between Dr Jasminder Birdi and Dr John Woodfield.

Getting Here
The nearest train station is Strood Station. It's about 5 miles away from The Elms Medical Practice. From Strood Station, you can take a bus or taxi to reach the practice.
There is free car parking at the practice.
Accessiblity
The surgery is all on one level. There are facilities for the disabled, including easy access for wheelchairs and prams.
HELP WHEN WE ARE CLOSED
If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or call 111.
NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.
Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

Primary Care Hubs
There are evening and weekend appointments available to patients registered with the Elms, at four Primary Care Hubs across Medway. This is part of the Improving Access to General Practice initiative, and is funded through Medway Integrated Care Board.
The reception staff at the surgery may be able to book an appointment through this service, subject to availability. There is further information on the website about Medway Practices Alliance.
Serving You
Our caring team is here to help with minor health problems and to manage long-term conditions. We also have clinics for many different health issues. Thanks to technology, you can now do things like order a repeat prescription or cancel an appointment from home.
